Every year before Snufkin kingdom wanders south for the winter, he leaves a comforting spring letter to Moomin, with the promise of the good friends' reunion in the spring.

The new mug is called Vår and is the third mug in the Moomin Day collection that illustrates a special season in the Moomin valley. You might remember the first two from 2018 and 2021 depicting summer and winter? The new Vår mug is illustrated by Tove Slotte.

The mug's illustration shows that the snow has already melted and how the bright sun has brought out the first tulips and daffodils - and also the Moomintroll and the Snork Maiden! On the back, we see the main character of the mug: The return of the Snufkin from its winter wanderings to the Moomin Valley is a sign of the arrival of spring and a long-awaited event, especially for the Moomintroll. He gets to spend time with his best friend again.

The mug will be available in limited edition from Moomin Day on 9 August 2024.
