Beyond Sustainable
We Go Beyond
Many of our stores at Hede Fashion Outlet have products that contain recycled material instead of newly produced, work with more sustainable material choices, less water consumption in production, cut down on transport or have social sustainability initiatives. Scroll down the page to read about some of the initiatives from our stores, or feel free to ask in your store to find out more.
NO BIG FANS OF PLAIN HUMAN STUPIDITY
Peak Performance
The earth cannot keep up with consumption, waste, pollution, conflict, de-forestation, de-glaciation, over-fishing, social injustices and plain human stupidity. The second you produce anything; you leave a mark. Our non-stop race for bigger, better and faster has led to catastrophic heating, fueled by CO2 emissions.
DESIGN WITH NO EXPIRATION DATE
Apart from doing everything we can to minimize waste, chemicals, and micro plastics, we focus on making products that we can keep in play as long as possible. That’s why everything we make is made to last, both in terms of quality and design. We reach that by using quality materials and constructions, nailing a timeless look, and educating customers how to care for our products.
At the end of the day, if a consumer resists getting a new garment because the old one still perform we have saved the world from yet another new item being produced - we call that a success.
Ecco
We at ecco always strive to improve our environment and minimize our impact on the planet. It's an ongoing process and we're committed to continuing to reduce waste and water consumption, while making sustainable products that last season after season.
Our goal to increase water efficiency in the leather tanning process is an important part of our sustainability mission. ECCO Leather's DriTan™ technology was developed as a first step towards more water-efficient leather manufacturing, a revolutionary production method for the leather industry.
We at ECCO are proud to have been awarded The Green Imprint award, which is given to companies that have sustainable and climate-friendly processes and sustainability initiatives.

Samsøe Samsøe
At the very core of Samsøe Samsøe are our products – and while it is our vision to create outstanding garments that our customers can wear and value for many years, the production of clothing always comes at an environmental cost. Therefore, it is central to our sustainability ambitions to offer a more responsible range of products. To achieve this, we take a holistic approach that looks at all the different levels of production.
For one, we focus on elevated design choices and craftsmanship to ensure that our products are long-lasting. Extending a product’s life is the best way to lower its impact. Another important factor within this vision are the materials that we use to craft our products. They define both the quality of our products and our impact on the planet, and we recognise that we must consider and prioritise both. This is why, in as much as possible, we use recycled, organic, and certified materials to make our timeless garments and accessories.

At Björn Borg we have a product promise – to deliver world class products.
Björn Borg
Our products shall always meet our quality standard before coming into the hands of consumers.
Nevertheless, we are aware that in production minor defects can occur, products are therefore sorted out, not because they are damaged and can´t be used by the consumer, but because they are not world class.
We are convinced that many items still have a value, and that there is a win-win-win-win opportunity to be captured. For the brand, consumer and environment.
Therefore, we introduce 2nd quality in our own outlet - items that have minor defects but are worth to be just as loved.

Filippa K
Since founded 1993, Filippa K has had a mission to drive a movement of mindful consumption: creating wardrobe staples designed to last, and encouraging our community to buy fewer but better pieces to wear and love for years.
Following is some of the ways the brand works with sustainabilty:
- For 2025 one of the company’s goals is to have 80% of all materials used in our ready to wear collection to be either recycled, regenerative, certified, or innovative. Additionally, 50% of all garments to be traced to the fibre’s country of origin.
- We focus on quality and longevity when sourcing materials, so we can maximise the number of wears for each garment.
- Filippa K is a member of Fair Wear: a foundation that works with brands and industry influencers to support garment workers in realising their rights to safe, dignified, properly paid employment. 85% of our production is based in Europe and 15% in Asia and we have established relationships with some partnerships as long as 20+ years.
